It is my job to take pictures so I have to focus on that, but of course you feel anger and outrage at times. Or, sometimes, like when the peacekeeping troops occupied Liberia, you feel exhilarated. You definitely experience a microcosm of emotional reactions.
In conflicts, there should be smart political intervention. I would like to see a broader engagement in the world that is not whole-based on oil and resources, that takes into account cultural ties.
I am still idealistic. Most of the things I've seen show that people are instinctively good. There's a lot of madness that happens in the world, and a lot of madness that has happened throughout history. We are still here.
